Vesak Day commemorates the three major events in the life of Buddha. The Buddha was born on the full moon of the 6th lunar month when the moon was in Visakha asterism. On his 35th birthday he attained self-enlightment, then on the 80th birthday he passed away into total nirvana.
วันวิสาขบูชา คือการบูชาในวันเพ็ญเดือน 6 ถ้าปีใดเป็นปีที่มีอธิกมาส คือ มีเดือน 8 สองหน ก็จะเลื่อนวันวิสาขบูชาไปเป็นกลางเดือน 7
Every year on this important day, Buddhists take the opportunity to pay their highest respect to the Buddha as a way of expressing gratitude for his goodness. We make merit by doing such things as practicing generosity, observing the precepts, and listening to the Dhamma sermon. We pay homage to the virtues of the Triple Gem: the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
วันวิสาขาบูชา เป็นวันสำคัญอย่างยิ่งของพระพุทธศาสนา เพราะเป็นวันคล้ายวันประสูติ ตรัสรู้ และเสด็จดับขันธปรินิพพานของสมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า เมื่อถึงวันสำคัญเช่นนี้ พุทธศาสนิกชนได้กำหนดเอาเป็นวันแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวทิตาธรรม สัมมาปฎิบัติทั้งอามิสบูชา และปฎิบัติบูชา มีการบริจาคทาน รักษาศีล เจริญภาวนา และทำพิธีเวียนเทียนประทักษิณ 3 รอบ ที่พระสถูป หรือพระพุทธปฎิมากร ที่นักปราชญ์ได้สร้างอุทิศเฉพาะพระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้าเป็นพิเศษ เพื่อก่อให้เกิด ความสังเวช และความเลื่อมใส จะได้เป็นปัจจัยแก่พระนิพพาน
ดังนั้น วัดมงคลเทพมุนี จึงจัดให้มีการบำเพ็ญบุญในวันวิสาขบูชา มีการทำวัตรเช้า เจริญสมาธิภาวนา ทำบุญตักบาตร เวียนเทียน เป็นต้น เพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชา
Mongkoltepmunee Buddhist Temple will celebrate Visakha Puja on Sunday May 15th, 2022. The program will start with the Morning Chant, followeed by Tak Bart and alms giving to promote the spirit of charity.
ฉะนั้น จึงขอเชิญท่านสาธุชนทั้งหลายไปร่วมงานบำเพ็ญทานบารมีโดยพร้อมเพรียงกัน สำหรับท่านที่มิอาจจะไปร่วมงานได้ ขอจงตั้งจิตให้เป็นกุศล แล้วอนุโมทนาในบุญพิธีนี้ หรือจะส่งเช้ค หรือมันนี่ออเดอร์ไปร่วมทำบุญด้วย เพื่อเป็นการเพิ่มพูนทานบารีให้ทวียิ่งๆ ขึ้น โดยสั่งจ่าย Mongkoltepmunee Temple

9:30 พุทธศาสกนิกชนทำวัตรเช้า, สมาทานศีล, เจริญสมาธิภาวนา
Morning Chant and promising of the five concepts
10:00 พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์, พระสงฆ์ออกรับบิณฑบาต, สาธุชนตักบาตร
Blessing Chant and Tak Bart
11:00 ถวายภัตตรหารเพลเป็นสังฆทานแด่พระสงฆ์
Offering lunch to monks
11:30 สาธุชนทั้งหลายรับประทานอาหารพร้อมกัน
Food court is open to all attendees
13:00 พิธีปลูกต้นไม้เพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชา เนื่องในวันสำคัญสากลของโลก
Ceremony for planting Vesak trees
13:30 ทำพิธีถวายผ้าป่า, พระสงฆ์อนุโมทนา, สาธุชนกรวดน้ำ รับพร รับน้ำพระพุทธมนต์
Offering alms and Pha-pa to monks to dedicate merit to ancestors, blessing chant and sprinkling of spiritual sacred water.
14:00 ทำพิธีเวียนเทียน เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา เป็นเสร็จพิธี
