Asalha Puja is an important religious festival which occurs on the full moon of 8th lunar month. It is to commemorate the Buddha’s first sermon “DhammachakkappavattanaSuttra” which is comprised of the four Noble Truths, the essence of all Buddhist teaching. One of his first five disciples attained enlightenment at the conclusion of this preaching, setting the Wheel of Dhamma into motion. The Buddhist religion was then established and the Sangha came into being to complete the TriRattana (The Triple Gems)
วันอาสาฬหบูชา คือ การบูชาที่กระทำในวันเพ็ญเดือน 8 เป็นวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาวันหนึ่ง ที่เราได้ปฎิบัติสืบทอดกันมา และเป็นเทศกาลเข้าพรรษา ซึ่งมีเหตุการณ์สำคัญ 4 ประการที่เกิดขึ้นในวันนั้น คือ
- เป็นวันแรกที่สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าทรงประกาศพระพุทธศาสนา
- เป็นวันแรกที่พระบรมศาสดาทรงแสดงพระธรรมเทศนากัณฑ์แรก คือ ธรรมจักรกัปปวัตตนสูตร
- เป็นวันที่พระอริยสงฆ์สาวกบังเกิดขึ้นในโลก
- เป็นวันแรกที่พระรัตนตรัยเกิดขึ้นครบทั้ง 3 รัตนะ
เมื่อถึงวันเช่นนี้พุทธศาสนิกชนทั้งหลายนิยมประกอบการบุญการกุศล มีการให้ทาน รักษาศีล เจริญภาวนาให้ยิ่งขึ้นเป็นพิเศษ
Mongkoltepmunee Buddhist Temple will provide an opportunity for participants to celebrate Asalha Puja on Sunday July 25th, 2021. The program will start with Morning Chant, followed by Tak Bart and Alms Giving to promote the spirit of charity.
ดังนั้น วัดมงคลเทพมุนี จึงจัดให้มีการบำเพ็ญบุญในวันอาสาฬหบูชา มีการทำวัตรเช้า เจริญสมาธิภาวนา ทำบุญตักบาตร ปิดทองพระพุทธรูป หล่อเทียนพรรษา เวียนเทียน เป็นต้น เพื่อรวบรวมจตุปัจจัยสมทบทุนสร้างรั้วด้านหน้าพระอุโบสถ

9:30 am Morning Chant, promising of the five precepts
พุทธศาสนิกชนทำวัตรเช้า สมาทานศีล เจริญสมาธิภาวนา
10:00 am Blessing Chant and Tak Bart
พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์, สาธุชนตักบาตร
11:00 am Offering lunch to monks
ภวายภัตตรหารเพลเป็นสังฆทานแด่พระสงฆ์
11:30 am Food Court is open to all participants
สาธุชนทั้งหลายรับประทานอาหารพร้อมกัน
1:00 pm Delivery of Dhamma Sermon
มีพระธรรมเทนานา 1 กัณฑ์
1:30 pm Offering alms and Pha-pa to monks dedicating merits to ancestors,
Blessing Chant and sprinkling of spiritual sacred water
ทำพิธีถวายผ้าวัสสิกสาฎก (ผ้าอาบน้ำฝน) และผ้าป่าเพื่อสมทบทุนสร้างรั้วด้านหน้าพระอุโบสถ
พระสงฆ์อนุโมทนาสาธุชนกรวดน้ำรับพร รับนำ้พระพุทธมนต์
2:00 pm Candle procession around Ubosod Hall
ทำพิธีเวียนเทียน เนื่องในวันอาสาฬหาบูชา เป็นเสร็จพิธี
