Kathin Ceremony and Takbart Devo
As established by Buddha, the Kathin ceremony is held during the four weeks that follow the conclusion of the three-month retreat of the year. Buddhists consider this ceremony – offering new robes to the monks – as one of the most significant forms of merit-making. This event also comes on the traditional annual observance of Takbart Devo, celebrating the time during which Buddha descended through heaven upon His return from presenting Dhamma to His Mother in Deva’s dwelling realms.
การทอดกฐิน เป็นทานพิธีที่สมเด็จพระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้า มีพระบรมพุทธานุญาตให้สาธุชนทั้งหลายทอดได้เพียงปีละหนึ่งครั้งในวัดหนึ่งๆ ในระยะเวลาหนึ่งเดือนหลังจากออกพรรษาแล้ว จึงถือกันว่าการทอดกฐินนั้น เป็นกาลทานและเป็นสังฆทานที่มีผลานิสงส์มาก และในวาระออกพรรษาของทุกปี จะมีประเพณีการตักบาตรเทโว หรือที่เรียกว่าเทโวโรหณะ เพื่อรำลึกถึงครั้งที่องค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าเสด็จลงจากสวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึงส์ หลังจากที่ได้ทรงอยู่จำพรรษาและแสดงธรรมโปรดพระพุทธมารดา ในกาลนั้น พุทธศาสกนิกชนได้พร้อมกันตักบาตรแด่พระองค์เพื่อเป็นการรับเสด็จเมื่อทรงหยั่งลงจากเทวโลกอีกด้วย
ฉะนั้น จึงขอเรียนเชิญท่านสาธุชนทั้งหลายไปบำเพ็ญทานบารมีร่วมทอดผ้ากระฐินและตักบาตรเทโวโดยพร้อมเพียงกัน

10:00 a.m. Blessing chant to celebrate the Kathin Robe พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์สมโภชน์องค์กระฐิน
10:30 a.m. Takbart Devo (Monks Collect Alms) ตักบาตรเทโวโรหณะพระสงฆ์ 11 รูป
11:00 a.m. Offering lunch to the monks and food court is open for participants ถวายภัตตาหารเพลเป็นสังฆทานแด่พระสงฆ์ – สาธุชนร่วมรับประทานอาหารพร้อมกัน
12:30 p.m. Procession of Kathin Robe around Ubosod Hall แห่องค์พระกฐินรอบพระอุโบสถ
01:30 p.m. Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony ทำพิธีถวายผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทาน
02:30 p.m. Donation of other fundamental supplies such as basic utensils and equipment, or money donation. Dedicating merit rite to ancestors and blessing chant. Sprinkling of sacred water. ทำพิธีถวายผ้าป่าบริวารกฐิน พรงสงฆ์อนุโมทนา สาธุชนกรวดน้ำ รับพร รับน้ำพระพุทธมนต์ เป็นเสร็จพิธี
