งานวันอาสาฬหบูชา และวันเข้าพรรษา
ณ วัดมงคลเทพมุนี เมืองเบนซาเล็ม รัฐเพนซิลเวเนีย สหรัฐอเมริกา
วันอาทิตย์ที่ 17 กรกฎาคม 2565 เริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา 9:30 น.

Asalha Puja is an important religious festival occurring on the full moon of the 8th lunar month. It is to commemorate Buddha’s first sermon, “Dhammachakkappavattana Suttra”, which is speaks of the Four Noble Truths, the essence of all Buddhist teaching. One of his five disciples attained enlightenment at the conclusion of the preaching, setting the Wheel of Dhamma into motion. The Buddhist religion was then established and the Sangha came into being to complete the Trirattana (the Triple Gems).

วันอาสาฬหบูชา คือ การบูชาที่กระทำในวันเพ็ญเดือน 8 เป็นวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาวันหนึ่ง ที่เราได้ปฎิบัติสืบทอดกันมา และเป็นเทศกาลเข้าพรรษา ซึ่งมีเหตุการณ์สำคัญ 4 ประการที่เกิดขึ้นในวันนั้น คือ
1. เป็นวันแรกที่สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าทรงประกาศพระพุทธศานา
2. เป็นวันแรกที่พระบรมศาสดาทรงแสดงพระธรรมเทศนากัณฑ์แรก คือ ธรรมจักรกัปปวัตนสูตร
3. เป็นวันที่พระอริยสงฆ์สาวกบังเกิดขึ้นในโลก
4. เป็นวันแรกที่พระรัตนตรัยเกิดขึ้นครบทั้ง 3 รัตนะ

เมื่อถึงวันเช่นนี้ พุทธศาสกนิกชนทั้งหลายนิยมประกอบการบุญการกุศลมีการให้ทาน รักษาศีล เจริญภาวนาให้ยิ่งขึ้นเป็นพิเศษ

Monkoltepmunee Buddhist Temple will provide an opportunity to celebrate Asalha Puja on Sunday, JUly 17th, 2022. The program will start with the morning chant, followed by Tak Bart and almsgiving to foster the spirit of charity.

ดังนั้น วัดมงคลเทพมุนี จึงจัดให้มีการบำเพ็ญบุญในวันอาสาฬหบูชา มีการทำวัตรเช้า เจริญสมาธิภาวนา ทำบุญตักบาตร ปิดทองพระพุทธรูป หล่อเทียนพรรษา เวียนเทียน เป็นต้น เพื่อถวานเป็นพุทธบูชา

11:00 am Offering lunch to monks ถวายภัตตาหารเพลเป็นสังฆทานแด่พระสงฆ์
11:30 am Food court is open to all attendees สาธุชนทั้งหลายรับประทานอาหารพร้อมกัน
01:30 pm Offering alms and Pah-pa to monks dedicating merit to ancestors, blessing Chant and sprinkling of spiritual sacred water ทำพิธีถวายผ้าวัสสิกสาฎก (ผ้าอาบน้ำฝน) และผ้าป่า พระสงฆ์อนุโมทนาสาธุชน กรวดน้ำรับพร รับน้ำพระพุทธมนต์
02:00 pm Candle procession around the Ubosod Hall ทำพิธีเวียนเทียน เนื่องในวันอาสาฬหบูชา เป็นเสร็จพิธี
